Le Contour~ ROUND FACE

Hello there... Again.

So here's the deal. I'm not that into make-up and all that stuff, because I've never been a girly girl. But I've recently found out that there's gotta be a balance between my Tomboy self and the non-existent-girly-girl self. Why? Because I'm freakin 20 (almost 21) and I don't know a single thing about putting on some make-up, so whenever I go out to an interview, I feel like they're looking at me thinking "How come this woman looks like she just woke up?"

THE STRUGGLE IS REAL.

So the first thing I wanted to learn about was that thing everyone is talking about: CONTOUR.
Yes, you got that right, the reason why some dumb boys are saying that you should take her to a pool on the first date, but if we don't wear any make-up then we're not trying. UGH, guys. Please understand you're not the reason why we do this. BUT WAIT. During my investigation, I realized most of the "models" had a different type of face-shape than me. I have to live with the ROUND FACE. (Insert dramatic music here)

So the thing became even more difficult because I couldn't find a tutorial for round faces with a REAL ROUND FACE model. I guess my shape isn't that great for that industry (Oh, how sad) So the only thing I was able to use was a cosmopolitan article and a youtube video of a cute girl named Maria Gordon. Enjoy!!

Where you should contour:
  • On the sides of your forehead and along your temples to make this wider area appear more narrow.
  • The area below your cheekbones starting from your ears to in the middle of your cheeks, and then curving down to your jawline to lengthen your face.
Where you should highlight:
  • In the middle of your forehead and the middle of your chin.
  • Under your eyes in an upside-down triangle shape to brighten your eyes.
